NaPoWriMo Poem for April 14

wounded in the stones

the bible is not for the timid,
and heaven is not for the crushed.
the first verse you see
in deut. twenty-three
excludes those whose privates are smushed.

but that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
so many exclusions to muster–
still, fella, i say
carpe diem, and play
with cards you’re dealt. have a ball, buster!
