from Z to shining Z
Here’s some sillitude that started before the inauguration of the Biden/Harris dynamic duo with a serious, nerves-calming sketch of a zinnia. I was jumpy about how things would go. Then they went splendidly, and the giddiness and pride I felt on seeing my country take a good first step back on the path of Health translated into drawing that got gloriously messy. It’s all good. This one won’t win any prizes, but it’s a good Date/Time stamp on a deliciously hostoric day.

I like the Z-bra. And ZZ Tops with a mask 🙂
Thanks, Michel! How have you been, my friend?
It’s been quiet, with work from home and the various confinements. It’s been about a year now; came home from a trip to Scotland, where one of my daughter lives, in March 2020, just days before the first confinement was imposed. As I save two hours of travel per day, I can’t complain. Work has remained at about the same level during all that time. I expect I will mostly keep working from home in the next few years. I’ve been busy with space stuff in my spare time, doing illustrations for various projects. The most fun one being a participation in a Mars Society City on Mars competition, where the team I was in came in Third. I’ve been following your blog, so I’m up to date on some of your adventures and the death of your mother. Condolences. My own mother died in april, and we were lucky to be able to see her at all just before her death, as the confinement was not as strict as it is today.
My condolences to you, Michel. It has been a time of terrible loss, but nothing hits harder than the death of someone you have loved all your life.
So glad you are still imagining spacecraft into awesome schematics. May you live to ne aboard one of your designs on a leisurely cruise through the Asteroid Zone.
That should be “be,” not “ne.” <> is français for <> n’est-ce pas? Maybe I did that subconsciously. Ah, to be Born Again on a spacecraft designed by my friend! 🙂
