Falling Off the Monkey Bars

I a kid of nine or ten

Falling off the monkey bars

Got the Nurse’s diagnosis:

“Got the wind knocked out of him.”

..

Got my wind back manyfold

Nursed by movies, music, musings

“Monkey’s in my DNA.”

Got some years left–nine or ten.
