My Malaysian friend Tiffany Choong sometimes posts images of her delightful drawings with a carefully-right-angled array of the colored pens she used to draw that particular bird (or handbag, or symbol, or flower–she fearlessly draws anything and everything). The pens make an eloquent frame, an inviting, easily-crossed border between her drawing and the rest of the Universe.
