By the way, I have discovered your blog through Jamie Dedes’ post after last Wednesday’s writing prompt “Living with Dying” where I have just read your poem “the skull of her son”. I love how you describe the situation of the mother mourning her son’s death. It is all beautifully written, poignant and emotionally intense. These two lines give a powerful turn to the already painful process of mourning: “she wanted the bones as is/ but the law of the land said no”.
